Contact & About Me

About Me – After working in Paris as an English teacher, my career started out in theatre and TV – I toured with the RSC, dressed Michael Sheen, and I was on the crew of the King’s Speech.

A bout of wanderlust took me to far-flung shores including Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, Nepal, India and China before returning to London and turning my hand to journalism. I have written for national and regional newspapers and magazines and a host of websites.

Everyone is online now – and I am there too, still writing articles as well as providing web and social media content.

About Style and Story – Home is a converted Victorian school in North Yorkshire where I live with my husband and three sons.

It’s a beautiful part of the world with stunning landscapes; breathtaking walks; pretty market towns and villages and a coastline dotted with quaint fishing villages and sweeping sands.

Style and Story is a celebration of all this. I love discovering new places and revisiting favourite haunts to share with others…and I am always in search of the perfect café.

As well as posts about lovely places to visit, you’ll also find the occasional creative project as I enjoy crafts and making things for my home. And lastly, there are a few posts on my reflections – my Diary.

If you click on the categories for each post you’ll find similar features that might interest you.

I hope you enjoy reading my stories. Feel free to leave a comment or follow me on social media.
